"And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them…" (Mark 10:13)
In Memory
Skyla Whitaker and Taylor Paschal-Placker

(Skyla is on the left, Taylor on the right)
The staff and directors of Associational Children’s Camp would like to express our deepest sympathy to the families of Skyla Whitaker and Taylor Paschal-Placker. Both girls, best friends from the Weleetka area, were murdered last week. Skyla was 11 and Taylor was 13.
Skyla and her grandmother were in attendance during the first week of camp this year, attending with First Baptist Church, Henryetta. We trust that God used that time in their life in a wonderful way. Taylor had planned to attend, but had a change of plans.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 13 at FBC, Henryetta for Skyla and FBC, Dewar for Taylor.

The Cost of Associational Children's Camp
2008 Cost: $26 per camper/person
ACC is an extremely affordable camp when compared to others. Even though ACC is held at Falls Creek, we are not like Youth Falls Creek. We receive no funds from the BGCO or the Cooperative Program. Our expenses must be covered through the "Per Camper Cost." We rent Falls Creek. Along with other costs like programming, staffing, recreation, etc., our budget will be over $ 150,000.

Up at the top left of this page you will notice a place to sign-up for a newsletter. This will allow us to send information updates in a timely manner. This could be very important for a great camp experience and worth taking the time to sign up. If you haven't already, why not do it now?
MINISTRY FOR THE HEARING IMPAIRED
If you are bringing a group that will need interpreting for the deaf or you are able to volunteer to help to sign, please contact Terry Tolbert by phone (580) 223-9553 or by email at: terryltolbert@sbcglobal.net.
Did you go to children's camp 2008?
We've created an evaluation form so that you can help us continue to make the Associational Children's Camp the best possible camp! To help us out, go to the top of this page and select the "Info Center" and fill out the evaluation form. Your input is very important to us as we reevaluate all through the year.
Fifteen Southern Baptist associations partner together each year to host Children's Camp. We rent the Falls Creek Camping Facilities because it is the only location in Oklahoma large enough to handle the camp. Special Thanks to all of you who pray, participate, or help in any way.
